Déjà vu, literally.
When I started GG Press, I never imagined I'd get out of my garage to grow the business. I was simply enjoying what I was doing, learning to master the old art of letterpress printing, one day at a time. But opportunity knocked on my door. To make a long story short, I had the opportunity to start another printing company at the same time my sisters-in-law were about to grow their business as well. We rented a warehouse together and started a journey that has been quite stable for them, but a little bit bumpy for me.
My new printing endeavor survived for only two years. Circumstances out of my control made me take a very hard decision: selling my business, including my beloved machines, which through the years I learned to master and cherish.
With a little bit of luck on my side, I quickly found a couple of printing presses (you can read my previous posts to get to know them) that I once again put in my garage to, once again, awake my sleeping beauty, GG Press.
A couple of weeks ago, I moved back to the place where a fantastic dream started and ended. Déjà vu, literally.
I changed the place to match my new image, never forgetting about the past but always learning from it.
Since the day I moved back in, I always arrive thinking I'm still on my old project, but when I open the door and enter this newly renovated space, I feel a new dream has started to come to life.
I leave you here with some pictures. I'm still working on the space, so I'll keep you posted...
